This article is very true! I use stock photography images all the time for our promotional material. I often go to Fotolia's site because they always have free images of the week. And even if you can't find what you're looking for in the free images section, they're one of the most inexpensive providers without compromising quality :)

This was great! My brother works in a PR firm and we were talking last week about this very topic. Obviously, he knew a lot more about it than me. I didn't even really understand the reason why an agency/firm would want to use stock images (I thought they were generic), but now I understand more. I feel like next time he and I talk, I will have more to contribute. Thanks!

Royalty free stock images are a perfect fit and compliment your blog posts etc.

Tagging your images correctly definitely has it's SEO advantages.

iStockphoto has a free weekly image to download when you sign up for their newsletter. I always download them because you never know when they'll come in handy.

Thank you for the 'media' tip for offering them images.
