Flag of ItallyCecilia Ungania, an Italian journalist who works for YouMark, emailed me a few weeks ago asking if she could translate my article “Top 10 Tips for Free Publicity” into Italian, and post it at the website.

Of course I said yes.

It’s very strange seeing the article I’ve written and, except for a few words here and there, not being able to understand what every sentence says. You can read the longer English version here.

If you’re interested in translating any of my articles or information products into another language, let’s talk. I am particulalry interested in hearing from people who want to translate them into Spanish. Call 262-284-7451 or email me.

Hannah Montana and seat beltsPiggybacking onto celebrity news and hot movies almost guarantees publicity, especially if you see the celebs misbehaving on or off screen and you take them to task.

On Monday, Consumer Reports criticized Miley Cyrus, the alter ego of Hannah Montana, and her celebrity dad, Billie Ray Cyrus, who are shown in their new movie with their seatbelts unfastened.

The magazine’s blog post unleashed comments from young fans.  Consumer Reports wrote about it again and mentioned that Bill Ray apologized for the oversight  in an interview with People Online:

“We got caught up in the moment of filming, and we made a mistake and forgot to buckle our seat belts. Seatbelt safety is extremely important.”

Patricia Hudak of Jersey City, New Jersey writes:

“I am a young entrepreneur and recent college graduate. I started my company, Real World 101, to help graduating college seniors transition from college to the real world.

“I’ve created an informational care package for college seniors that covers all of the topics they will face such as personal finances, career, apartment living, social life, health & fitness, travel & entertainment, and success after college. The package contains seven booklets (one for each topic), a multi-media CD of tools, and materials from colleges and corporate sponsors.

“My plan is to give the care package away for free to graduating college seniors and have it sponsored by companies that want to reach these students. However, that task is proving more difficult than I had anticipated. Do your Hounds have any suggestions on how I can gain corporate sponsorship for a new product that’s targeted to an untapped market?”
