Thanks for your great article. There is so much junk on the internet it is hard to find good quality information when you really need it. I just came across your site and have bookmarked it. Look forward to reading more in the future keep us posted.

This must be the best post I have seen today. It is true about platform, and though I have been aware of it subconsciously, you have made it a conscious thing for me.

Currently I have a following of a few thousand online, however, this brings up another point, that of actual quality. For example, ask the thousands who follow someone on a TV show, someone who is a star, and someone who has followers online, you will find that it is only the actual star that people will remember there name and what they do.

Agree completely on platform building. I had a radio show (real time AM talk) in Atlanta for a year, The Art Full Life, featuring artists, gallery owners and collectors. I closed it down when I moved because it was a labor of love only and not monetizable or contributing to my platform. The key as you share is it must be relevant and targeted to build your platform, not simply make your heart feel good (a very nice by-product, but monetization does matter at some point, LOL).

Thanks always for your wisdom and experience!
